Silver Falls United Church sponsors Beaver Scouts (ages 5 to 7), Cub Scouts (ages 8 to 10), Scouts (ages 11 to 14) and Venturer Scouts (ages 14-17).  All of our Scouting sections are co-educational.  We are a part of Scouts Canada.  We are located in Wabanaki Area.

Our Beaver meetings run from September to the end of May and our older sections run until the end of June.  Summer activities may also be planned.

Beaver Scouts meet on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in the Christian Education Hall

Cub Scouts meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Christian Education Hall

Scouts and Venturers meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in the Memorial Hall

Our Beaver Scouts take part in Apple Day fundraisers and Remembrance Day ceremonies at Harbour Station.  A typical Beaver meeting consists of making crafts, playing games and learning songs, often centered around a unified theme.  Beaver Scouts learn while having fun.

We swim monthly at Saint John High.  We have been on hikes, toured the Saint John Museum, done experiments with a Mad Scientist at Saint John High, gone on Fire Station tours, had movie nights and had a sleepover at the indoor amusement park. We have taken part in two church luncheons this year. The group will be attending a Sea Dogs hockey game.

Our Cub Scouts learn by doing.  The Cub program offers an exciting variety of creative activities to spark any Cub's imagination. It also promotes wholesome personal development. We believe that children learn by doing. Cub activities encourage children to discover and understand their world through play and adventure.

They have taken part in Apple Day fundraisers, Remembrance Day Services at Harbour Station, Baden-Powell week activities and church parade, winter camps at Camp Holderville, building and racing Kub Kars, Camp Night Owl in the fall and Spring Camps at Camp Yoho and Camp Holderville and linking activities with both the Beavers and the Scouts.

Our Scouts have taken part in Apple Day fundraisers and Remembrance Day Services that our younger members take part in.  They also attended Camp Night Hawk Scout Camp at Camp Holderville.  They are also working on developing woodcraft and camping skills that will help them to work more independently at camp.  Several of our Scouts are also working on their Chief Scout Awards.

Our Venturer Scouts have served at the Harbour Station Remembrance Day Service as greeters at the door as well as members of the Scouting Colour Party.  They have volunteered at the Cubs' Camp Night Owl and at the Scouts' Camp Night Hawk.  In addition, a number of them serve as Scouters in Training for our younger sections.
