Christmas Exchange

Silver Falls Church is planning on supporting 30 families this year in the Christmas Exchange.  In order to do that, we need your help.  We are asking for donations of grocery items that you can leave in the customary spot in the first row of pews on the side.

Please see Pam Carter if you have any questions.

Quarter Queasiness

Doctor Pam has diagnosed your problem.  It is Quarter Queasiness!  You have too many quarters.  First it was Penny Pain then Nickel Numbness and Dime Dementia.  But the Doctor has the prescription.  Please donate your quarters to the Christmas Exchange.  Doctor Pam is happy to report that members of the congregation have been "cured" of $103 worth of quarters so far.

Avon Calling (For the Exchange)

You can find the perfect gift for family and friends and also help the Christmas Exchange by ordering Avon Products from Pam.  A portion of all sales between now and November 17 will go towards the Christmas Exchange.

Your Church Needs You!

Morning Worship Service:  "Fresh" faces needed to take part in the morning Worship Service during the announcement portion of the service. Many hands make light work.  Speak with John Redstone.

Storytelling:   Are you a storyteller at heart? Are you willing to share your gifts with others?  We would love to put your talents to good use in the children's story time on Sunday morning.  Speak with John Redstone or Rev. Paul to begin this exciting journey!

Reign of Christ Sunday

Donít forget about our Combined Worship Service for  Reign of Christ Sunday at Park Avenue United November 23 at 11a.m.

We must provide 5 sandwich trays and 4 sweet trays.  Please speak to Gwen Young after church today if you help out.

Treble Clef Christmas Concert!

Please join us on Monday December 8 in the Sanctuary at 7 pm for a festive evening of beautiful music!  Please purchase tickets in advance for $10 from Silver Falls Church, Choir Memebers or at the door.

Congregational Meeting

There will be a short congregational meeting after church on Sunday, November 30th to provide an update from the shared ministry committee formed following the approval of the JNAC in June 2014.

Silver Falls Gift Party

Silver Falls Scouting is once again hosting a Christmas Gift Party on Friday, November 28, from 7-9pm at Silver Falls United Church. Do your Christmas gift shopping in style and comfort. Join us and enjoy music and refreshments, sip on punch and nibble on hors d'oeuvres as you visit the various vendors, such as Pampered Chef, Silpada, Tupperware, Scentsy, Avon and Epicure, to name a few.  Admission is $5.00 which includes punch, delicious finger food, tea and coffee.  It's all in support of Silver Falls Scouting. Please contact Barbara Mahaffy at 696-6269 for more information or to book a table.

Brown Bag Lunch Program

Thanks to the generosity of the people of Silver Falls Church we now have enough of the staples for the Brown Bag Lunch Program.  We will keep you informed of required items as the need arises.  There is, of course, always a need to purchase the perishables so any cash/gift cards would certainly be appreciated.   A full report will be given during the month of November.  Thank you, from your Brown Bag Lunch Committee!

Your continued generous spirit can now be appreciated by the Christmas Exchange Committee.

With your help, we can share Godís love with those students in need.
